Tammy's Birthday

I almost completely forgot about these pictures. For Tammy's birthday we had dinner at Olive Garden and like usual there was the whole Misfit gang. It was a night we would never forget. First they gave our table away when we were right there. Then they gave as brand new waiters and they did not bring us salad and bread sticks. Then they ran out of lasagna, by the time we ordered we had been sitting down for over 30 min. Then the food did not come out forever. After Mark summoned the manager for the 2nd time and he had a discussion with my grandmother our entire dinner was taken care of by the restaurant.

Aww Gracie giving Mark smooches...
Grace just adores Mark.

We had so much fun and hanging out with our friends for Halloween. We started out at Tammy and Paul's house for their party and to get the kiddos ready for trick-or-treating. After that we met our friend's for the Halloween Party. Jarred dressed up as the guy from the Six Flags commercials and Megan went as herself. Kari dressed up as the lady in the shower. Mark was a Monk and I was the girl from Hairspray!

Late Night Blogging

What were you doing 10 years ago?

I was a freshman in high school in Carrollton, TX.  We had only lived there 3 months and life as a hormonal teenager was horrible.  I was away from anyone I grew up with and felt totally alone in the world.  I went to church faithfully with all the kids in my youth group and played basketball for my last season.
List 5 things on your "to do" list today?
1. Get my hair done
2. Have breakfast with Megan and Jared
3. Work on the Mark and Me Scrapbook
4. Do Laundry
5. Get Ready for the week
Favorite Snacks
Chocolate
Other then that depends on my mood
What would you do with an unlimited supply of money?
Pay off all bills...build a house...buy a new car...shop all the time...open up a scrapbook store...travel all of the time...Be a wedding planner
Where have you lived?
Dallas, TX, Waco, TX, Irving, TX, Carrollton, TX, Brenham, TX, Midlothian, TX, Port Neches, TX, Louisiana, Norman, OK
Where have you worked?
High School: Mother's helper, Tom Thumb, Kroger, Babysitter
College: Kroger, Nanny, Walmart, Dance Teacher, Nanny, Albertsons
Now: Bright Start Early Education
Who is texting you?
Mark wondering when I will be done scrapping

Pre-Halloween Schedule

I love Halloween! The idea of being able to dress up and be someone you are not for the day. Mark has decided to be a Monk and the costume isn't so bad except for the fact that he looks more like a Medieval Executioner instead. I couldn't stop laughing last night when he put it on or when he took off the hood and looked like he had on a brown moo moo. Ok for my costume I can't really decide I am having so much trouble deciding what I am going to be. At first it was a stepford wife, then a doll, but now I am not so sure. Tomorrow is Halloween so I better decide pretty soon I know!

Tonight is all the preparations...oh my goodness. Mark's old roommate is in town for the weekend. Make spider cupcakes. Put together staff stuff for our party and potluck. Mark is jealous that the layered dip isn't really for him. Find a costume for me and make sure that Mark's staff presents get to work tomorrow.

Tomorrow play games with my kiddos, staff potluck lunch, costume contest. Halloween night party at Tammy's with the kiddos then off to the costume party and contest with Jared and Megan. It should be quite eventful!

The Stomach Flu

Ok there will be no pictures with this post but I have to write about this...Sunday after breakfast with Jared and Megan I got really sick which put me to bed and off work these last couple of days. Keeping Mark to stay far away from me so he didn't catch this bug if it just happened to be contagious. If it wasn't for the popsicles, frozen gatorade, and sprite I might never have survived :(...

Well this awful thing is contagious and poor Mark came home mid day with this awful flu bug and its crazy symptoms. He insists that he is tougher than me and can fight this mind over matter(or stomach) lol. I hope that he is right and gets over this thing faster then I have so everyone please keep your fingers crossed. Until then everyone keep your distance and hopefully I will have the house completely disenfected and stomach flu clean before the game this weekend.

The Craziness of Post-Women of Faith

After Women of Faith we stopped and met my Dad and I got to see my brother and sister for a few minutes we didn't get to eat dinner with them because we were headed to Sam Moon and someone in the group was grouchy and to be nameless but it was not me. After I got over all my sadness from missing my Dad and the kiddos we headed to Sam Moon. Which if you don't know is an accessory store the size of Walmart and also has a home decor store which is like Kirklands but even better. Afterwards we went to dinner and acted silly outside the restarant like we were teenagers. Then we got our JoAnn Hancock fabric/craft fix then back home we went.

Patti thought she was tough like the bear...
Having fun riding the horses we about knocked the kiddos down for...lol...
The sane ones sitting on the bench
I love these old fashion chairs on the porch like this...
Well isn't this sign something...

Women of Faith Day Two

Well we were up at the crack of dawn...well I was the last up but thats because I love my sleep. We packed up and headed down for breakfast downstairs which is always amazing, we love staying at this hotel. Then off to the American Airlines Center for fun, roller coaster of emotions, and the NACHOS...lol...I guess you have to know our craziness and love of vendor food.
This guy was so sweet for the sign but he also had a sign to propose to his girlfriend and his daughter was there to help.
The crew from Oklahoma Patti, Tammy, Me and Aunt Jan...
Tammy and I being silly during a break.
Patti dancing to Nicole C. Mullen bringing down the house.

I so want this chair...I could of so napped in this thing

Women of Faith Day One

Oh my goodness we had so much fun on the way down. And like usual the new member of the group had drama in her life so we tried to fix it but that wasn't happening...lol. We left for Dallas about 11 on Friday and had tons of junk food along the way. We stopped in Lewisville and went a little crazy in the Teacher Tool store. I just can not get enough of bulletin board stuff. We arrived at the hotel around 3pm and lounged till the evening events began.

This is Anita Renfro who is extremely funny. If you haven't heard her Momsense you have to go get it or look for it on youtube. The woman is just about everywhere from Women of Faith to Good Morning America.

After the guys got to play golf together...

After a fun day and night at the cabin we headed toward's Mark's parents house. The guys went off and played golf. I got to meet Mark's sister, nephew, and niece and then I went downtown with Mark's Mom to get my nails done. Although I had made an appointment I was pushed back and so I told the nail guy that I would come back tommorrow. Plus we had to meet the guys at the golf course so we could go eat at the steak house. The food was great and we had a really good time. Afterwards we headed off to Logan's baseball game where I could just tell Mark really missed being at home and wanted to help coach the game. I got chilly in the late afternoon of summer and I actually liked it, it beat the heat of the south.

Mark sporting his Tiger Yellow in front of the steak house.
Watching Logan pitch at the baseball game.
Like Father Like Son
And Again...
Someone had to take a picture of me...I have actually become
quite talented of taking pictures of myself...lol...

Last Day of Colorado

We got up later then expected with lots to do. We still had to pack which took longer for me then Mark because I had more shoes then him...lol. We went to watch the kiddos jump on the trampoline and run to the store to buy stuff for lunch. We had a wonderful relaxing lunch cooking out and then got in the car to head back to the airport.

As we headed down the road not even a mile away we heard a funny thump. I told Mark we needed to stop and we saw one of the kittens from Mark's parents house in the middle of the road. Of all things to happen we also killed the cat. I was so sad, so Mark called his Dad to take care of it so the kiddos would not see.

We arrived to the airport in record time thanks to MARK. I drive like a Grandma so I am not allowed to drive on trips. Mark was pulled out of line going through security and he thought it would be me. We made it home tired, not ready to go to work, and with ears that refused to pop. It was a great trip that we truly enjoyed.
